Safety & Awareness One of the ABRA's most important initiatives is consistent citywide enforcement and compliance with the laws related to importation, sale, consumption, and distribution of alcoholic beverages. ABRA strives to protect the District of Columbia's residents through education and safety with specific attention directed to the prevention of sales and consumption of alcoholic beverages by underage persons and violence in establishments.
